Position Purpose
This position provides clerical support to the Raeford, North Carolina Field Office, specifically supporting the Breeder Division Manager and HR Partner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Select Genetics serves customers nationally and internationally by providing quality poults, exceptional service, and ongoing innovation. As the leading supplier of poults, Select Genetics has operations in seven U.S. states.
The Filing Clerk supports the Breeder Division Manager and HR Partner in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. All company information must be handled with strict confidentiality.
Duties include but are not limited to:
  1. Greet visitors at the front window and assist or direct them as appropriate.
  2. Close the office each day.
  3. Provide clerical support for HR functions, including:
    • Preparing documents for employee orientation and onboarding.
    • Filing and reviewing personnel documents for completeness.
    • Assisting with open enrollment and referring employees to HR as needed.
    • Supporting other HR tasks as directed by the on-site Manager.
  4. Maintain and distribute job applications.
  5. Perform general clerical duties accurately and on time, including FedEx Express preparation for pickup.
  6. Prepare shipping and export documents.
  7. Assemble training document packets as directed.
  8. Perform data entry into MTech for farm production and mortality.
  9. Maintain afternoon work hours unless an alternate schedule is approved.
  10. If bilingual, assist with interpretation and translation as needed.
  11. Follow directives from the on-site Manager.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned

Accountabilities

The Filing Clerk must:
  1. Comply with company policies on biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety.
  2. Route messages or contact information to the correct departments.
  3. Complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Operate office equipment (computer, copier, calculator, etc.), including creating signage in Word.
  5. Monitor company email regularly for updates from HR and the on-site Manager.
  6. Work collaboratively with team members to meet company goals.
  7. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  8. Adapt to changes in responsibilities as needed by the company.
Education, Experience, Knowledge & SkillsRequired:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant clerical experience).
  • Ability to respond effectively to employee questions and needs at all levels.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use.
Preferred:
Bilingual (Spanish/English).
