Position:
Oversees the Nova Tech service room machinery. Keeps machines operating safely at all times. Work in the service room as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
Select Genetics presents a solid platform to serve customers on a national and international scale by providing quality poults, service, and innovation. Select Genetics is the leading supplier of poults and eggs to growers and companies across the world and has operations in eight US States.
- Preparing the machines for the daily production.
- Conducts frequent checks on the machines for quality or adjustments needed.
- Monitoring the machines to ensure they are working properly.
- Performing any preventative and repair maintenance.
- Maintaining records of downtime, repairs, and operator/machine performance.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning and checks.
- Maintain and inform management of inventory/machine parts needed.
- Maintaining sentry software.
- Inform the service room supervisor of any scheduled or non-scheduled downtime of the machines.
- Cross-trained in any job related to the service room.
- Addresses any issue that arises and prioritizes repairs when necessary;
- Follows all of the company’s rules and regulations for biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety;
- Demonstrates organization and prioritizes responsibilities that need attention around the service room to ensure efficient operations at the service room.
- Demonstrates high knowledge of the Nova Tech machinery.
- Remains available to work an extended work day and other days, if needed.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Prior experience in mechanical and electronics repairs-prefer
- Ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment required
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solving skills required
- Basic math skills required
- Good communication skills required
- Attention to detail
- Nova Tech Certification within 60 days of training.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking skills are a plus.
Schedule:
Work days will vay depending on production. Start time is gauranteed but end time may vary so flexibility is a plus. This will be between 40-50 hours a week.
Mon-6am Start Time until production is done (Normally 10-12 hours)
Tues-6am Start Time until production is done (Normally 10-12 hours)
Wed-7am Start Time. This will be half a day (Usually 4-5 hours)
Thurs-6am Start Time until production is done (Normally 10-12 hours)
Friday-6am Start Time until production is done (Normally 10-12 hours)
Sat-On Call (If required to work-normally 4-5 hours)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.44 per hour
